International meetings

On the 12th of May 2023, professor Aldo Grassini, President of the Omero State Tacile Museum, will present the museum and its activities in Castelo de Vide, Portugal.

The workshop "The shelter for the blind in Castelo de Vide: historical perspective and equity" is a collaboration of ULusóphone Museology, LUME, Centre of Research in Typhlology of Castelo de Vide and it's on the 12th and the 13th of May.

The main targets are associate professors specialized in accessibility, professionals from museums and cultural centers, students, researchers and teachers and the most relevant stakeholders with. The final objective is the creation of a document setting the base for the birth of the Iberoamericani Observatory on Typhlology in Museums.

On the 17th of May a group of 8 specialists from the Faculty of Architecture, Bialystok University of Technology who came to know our Museum and the work that we do and they are very interested in studying our collaborations with national and international institutions and our methods in working with disabilities.

They are going to be at in Ancona to visit our collection and for a short period of training with our staff. The topics of interest of their studies are mainly related to the issue of accessibility in Space and they are implementing a learning program with the objective to develop and apply best practices from Universal Design to their everyday job with students of the Faculty of Architecture.
