“L’ombra vede” by Enzo Cucchi extended
Posted in Updates on 16 May 2025

Now open until August 31, 2025.
State Tactile Museum Omero.
Good news for those who haven’t yet visited “L’ombra vede” by Enzo Cucchi: the multisensory experience, originally scheduled to close on May 18, has been extended until August 31, 2025.
This sensory-rich exhibition was created in direct collaboration with the artist, who hails from Morro d'Alba. Enzo Cucchi, a key figure of the Transavanguardia movement, expresses in this multisensory journey his poetic vision rooted in the rural culture of the Marche region.
The exhibition features 42 works: 4 previously unseen drawings and 38 sculptures in bronze, marble, ceramic, and wood. The works are displayed in evocative environments inspired by the artist’s poetic world, including:
- a cave where three sculptures can be explored in complete darkness through touch,
- a rural courtyard inviting quiet reflection,
- and a studio space that recreates Cucchi’s creative environment.
All sculptures are fully touchable, and the drawings have been translated into tactile versions. Additional accessible resources include Braille materials, videos in Italian Sign Language (LIS) and International Signs (IS) produced by Rai Pubblica Utilità, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) content curated by Valeria Petricca.
